Alamosa Park Champion Recognition

Alamosa Park Elementary was recognized by the San Diego County Childhood Obesity Initiative and Community Health Improvement Partners for it’s healthy fundraising.

The biannual Alamosa Hawk Run fundraiser, scheduled during Healthy Hawk Week, provides funds for playground improvements, technology, and physical education curricula, training and equipment to benefit all students throughout the entire school year. This active fundraiser sets a wonderful example for other schools to follow and benefits the students physically and academically.
