Small Changes. Big Differences: Breakfast

February 15th, 2017

Small changes at breakfast can make a big difference in the quest to eat healthier and stay powered for the day. Of course breakfast is the most important meal of the day, fueling up the body and giving it momentum to run at an efficient and healthy rate. SO what do these small changes look like? Here are some examples.

Switching from flavored (ie – sugar-laced) yogurt and a medium-sized muffin to a parfait with plain yogurt, using berries, nuts and granola cuts down on calories, saturated fat, sodium and extra sugars, giving you healthy energy to power your morning.

Likewise, choosing corn tortilla tacos with a few different ingredients than a sausage burrito makes huge cuts in saturated fat, sodium and calories.

Take a minute each day to explore other small changes that are not just healthier for you, but help you to power through the day and feel better. Take a look at this video for more info.
